Project Overview
Situation
The SLO County Farmers’ Market Association oversees five markets throughout the Central Coast. The markets serve as a gathering place for the entire community and tourists, providing high quality farm-to-table selections at affordable prices. They also provide an outlet of celebration for family-owned and operated farms in the region.
Approach
Capitalizing on a nationwide surge in farmers’ market popularity, AMF Media Group developed a farm-fresh brand identity for the markets and reinvigorated the association’s long-dormant blog with engaging local stories, videos and tips.
Outcome
Weekly social posts and the creation of a Pinterest page to showcase farm-fresh recipes drew record numbers of vendors and shoppers to the open-air markets. The newfound attention also helped garner media coverage, and sales increases have consistently set new records.
